SKF Precision Technologies, a unit of SKF USA Inc.,
is pleased to announce an enhanced grinding spindle, representing
a new generation of high power, high-frequency spindles.
The new GNS grinding spindles are available with steel
or ceramic bearings and can be air-oil or grease lubricated.
They are designed to cater to all possible applications
and offer a variety of features including: assembly on turret,
cooling through the shaft, HSK tool attachment and speed
sensor. The components feature case-hardening and tempering
treatments to prevent wear and loss of precision. SKF Precision
Technologies will certify the power values and tolerances
of its high-frequency spindles upon request.
The GNS spindles are designed to meet all internal grinding
requirements and are appropriate for working with steel,
aluminum and other metals. The spindles are available in
speeds from 8,000 to 105,000 RPM and reach power levels
up to 36.5 kW.
