SKF'S NEW GENERATION OF LLR PROFILE RAIL GUIDES,
FEATURED AT IMTS 2004 BOOTH 4696, ARE THE QUIETEST AND MOST
LUBRICATED RAILS EVER
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (May 27, 2004) SKF
Linear Motion announces the availability of its newly designed
profile rail guidance system, the LLR Profile Rail Guides. This
newest generation of profile rail guides, now offered by SKF
and featured at IMTS 2004Booth 4696, combines low noise,
high capacity, and internal lubrication reservoirs to meet the
demanding requirements of todays applications.
The LLR carriages come standard with integral,
lubricated foam inserts for long-term lubrication. Since the
foam inserts are built into the end cap of the carriage, no
external lube block is required thus maintaining a short carriage
length. With the LLR Profile Rail Guides, maintenance time and
costs are reduced because of the internal lubricating foam inserts.
Also, carriages contain four lubrication ports with metal threads
on all sides for convenient access. The new ball separator technology
integrated into the LLR design eliminates undesirable noise
by damping vibrations typically caused by ball-to-ball contact
in standard profile rail guides.
With the optimized load plate design, the
LLR carriages feature one of the highest capacities for four
ball profile rail guides in the industry across the entire range
of five sizes. All carriages are sealed to prevent contamination
in dirty environments. Also, an optional scraper plate, a two-piece
front seal, and rail cover strip offer added protection in extremely
demanding environments.
