Grafton, WI, (DATE) (For Immediate Release) - SKF Precision Technologies' new Mech-Tronix™ Motorized Spindle Systems can be
ordered complete with custom matched AC Drives. The liquid cooled
version can be ordered with a properly sized Chiller/Circulator.
The Mech-Tronix spindle offers the choice of a Totally Enclosed
Non-Ventilated (TENV) motor or a more powerful Totally Enclosed
Liquid Cooled (TELC) motor. Either one can be dropped in to replace
other popular industry-standard spindles.
SKF Precision Technologies' Mech-Tronix™ spindles are ideal for a wide variety
of applications such as automotive production, cable winding,
mill/grind single station processing, rough milling, large cutter
diameters, grinding, and rough boring operations. Designed to
give your process more nose choices than any other spindle, they
are available in nose styles and sizes from N.M.T.B. 30 to N.M.T.B.
50 milling taper, C-50 HSK to C-100 HSK, or with a boring pilot.
When teamed with an AC Drive, they also provide variable speeds
and more power, running up to a maximum of 11,000 RPM and producing
power levels up to 14.8 kW (20 HP).

description of and specifications for the 350 through 650 SKF Precision Technologies
Mech-Tronix Spindles, MT spindle drives, the SKF Precision Technologies TELC Chiller
as well as other accessories. A grinding adapter is available
as a custom feature as are ABS, lathe, gundrill and quick-change
(milling taper) nose styles.
