Every SKF Precision Technologies precision spindle is built from the highest
quality materials and components to deliver high performance
and long life.
- 8 sizes of spindles:
- 2 small light duty spindles: 1250 & 1875
- 6 machine tool duty spindles: 2750, 3500, 4000, 5500,
6500 & 8000 Plus special orders
- Nine standard interface nose styles
- High-quality alloy steel shaft
- Precision grade ABEC-7 angular contact ball bearings
- Close-grain, stress-relieved cast iron housings
- Precision runout tolerances down to .0001 T.I.R. are standard
- Highly effective standard sealing designs:
- High speed models feature labyrinth seals with flinging
grooves and a gravity drain.
- Lower speed models feature Nitrile rubber V-ring
seals.
- Special materials and sealing methods can be utilized
with any SKF Precision Technologies spindle, as may be required by unusual environmental
situations.

BELT-DRIVEN SPINDLE & MOTOR ASSEMBLIES
SKF Precision Technologies cartridge and block spindles are available as belt driven motorized assemblies. Standard motors are 230/460 volt 3-phase 60-Hz and have a totally enclosed fan-cooled NEMA frame.
All SKF Precision Technologies belt driven motorized spindles operate at a fixed speed and incorporate a direct drive timing belt for positive power transmission.
Spindle RPMs vary according to spindle size and HP. Smaller units range up to 13,000 RPM, while larger spindles range up to 30 HP.
